Welcome to our lovely farmhouse, located at the end of a pretty, poplar lined avenue. The house enjoys beautiful views over gently rolling Brittany countryside and is ideally situated for enjoying a relaxing holiday while exploring the delights of Brittany and Normandy.
The farmhouse is situated in Mellé, on the Brittany/Normandy borders, between the towns of St.James and Louvigné-du-Désert.
Normandy is a historic and picturesque region known for its lush countryside and countless historical sites. Its little fishing ports, long sandy beaches and inland villages are timeless favourites.
Normandy's apple orchards, famous for making cider and calvados, are on our doorstep.
Many significant events on World War II took place in our area and well marked routes indicate principal sites. The evocative landing beaches are within a two hour drive.
The Loire Valley with its magnificent chateaux and churches from another age are just over two hours away.
It takes only 45 minutes to reach Mont St.Michel (the second most visited site in France).
Brittany offers an infinite variety of landscapes. the beaches and coasts contrast with the heath lands and forests inland.
In Brittany you are never far from the sea, hence the remarkably mild climate. From Mont-Saint- Michel right down to Penestin, the coastline has been sculpted by the relentless waves for thousands of years.
Its magnificent shores are much appreciated by walkers and local wildlife.
The south coast is dotted with strands, coves, reefs, estuaries and dune ridges. At every glance, the picture takes on a new light; and at every turn, the customs trail offers spectacular coastal views.
